Earth 10: Aquaman

I broke with type here and built the hero I would want to play if someone were sharing the GM duties with me. In my case I love playing super-strong characters and I love scientist/explorer types, so my Aquaman became an explorer type scientist with super-strength. The oceans are huge and unexplored for coolness there, and the cultural analysis stuff that comes from him being a ‘fish out of water’ also has a ton of potential. For the record the average Atlantean has 5 in their Physical Stats, but with the -2 penalty for a lot of things under water net out as kinda close to being human(they also all cans see ultraviolet and are pretty resistant to cold, pressure and sensory attacks). Thanks to the chemical treatment that made it possible for Artur Curi to travel on land (and I got rid of the water weakness, since it is boring) Aquaman is super-strong, tough and fast even for Atlanteans.

I could have called it there, but the siren call of the point system made it too easy to add new powers, so I stole whole heatedly from a character Asha made years ago, who was an aquatic type with super-skin that could mimic any aquatic animal powers. That gave me a nice broad power set to mimic – camouflage, poison, light, electricity – while keeping to a consistent theme. As with the Question he has a lot of smaller powers which don’t amount to much in DC hero power scales but are quite potent against normal people.
